As part of the 20th anniversary of the PBIP Network, we participated as sponsors of the 2025 International Maritime-Port Forum, held on September 10 and 11 in Manzanillo, Colima. Our presence was also highlighted by the conferences “Perspectives of the Cruise Industry,” presented by Rodolfo Barron, Director of Cruise Terminals in Cozumel and Progreso, and "Innovation in the Prevention of Acts and Failures in the Protection of SSA Marine Mexico," presented by Alejandro Ballesteros, Head of Protection in Manzanillo. During the conferences, Cozumel's leading role as one of the most visited ports in the world was highlighted, accounting for 43% of Caribbean routes, as well as the efforts to expand the infrastructure and operational capacity of Progreso to accommodate state-of-the-art vessels. Additionally, the importance of port protection and technological innovation as strategic pillars for ensuring security was discussed, emphasizing the role of developing customized technologies to standardize processes, provide specialized training, and international certifications. Also, advances in automation and artificial intelligence were presented in partnership with HCLTech, including facial recognition solutions, access monitoring, risk control, and incident detection in operational areas. Every day, we are building a safer, more efficient, and sustainable port sector, strengthening our leadership in the maritime-port sector.
