President of ASTOM presented new board of directors 2026–2029

The event was led by Governor Indira Vizcaino; Admiral Gerardo Toledo, Undersecretary of Maritime and Port Affairs of the Ministry of the Navy; Mayor Rosy Bayardo; Vice Admiral José Ignacio Moreno, Director of Asipona Manzanillo; and Captain Rodolfo Torres, head of the local customs office. In his message, Manuel Fernandez emphasized that the national leadership of the Port of Manzanillo for more than 20 years, with nearly 4 million TEUs moved last year, has been the result of the relentless, coordinated, and efficient work of the established terminals and operators, which has consolidated the port as the leader of the Pacific coast of Latin America. ASTOM is made up of the companies Contecon, Grupo Alianza Estratégica Portuaria, Hazesa, SSA Marine Mexico, and TAP Terminal. Manuel Fernandez, the new president of ASTOM, stated that its members are aware of the challenges the port faces in terms of logistics, mobility, and security, and acknowledged the efforts of the port authorities to implement short-, medium-, and long-term strategies to optimize operations and reduce the impacts derived from the interaction between port activity and the daily life of the city.
