SSA Marine Mexico achieved remarkable growth at its International Cruise Terminals in the ports of Cozumel and Progreso, closing 2024 with 2.1 million passengers and 576 cruise ships received. Nationally, between January and November 2024, Mexico’s coasts welcomed 8.8 million passengers aboard cruise ships, marking a 9% year-over-year growth. The Gulf-Caribbean coastline accounted for 72% of all cruise passengers visiting the country and 66% of the cruise ships received, with a 17% increase in passenger volume from January to November 2024, hosting 6.3 million passengers. SSA Marine's terminal in Cozumel served 44% of the passengers and 37% of the cruise ships arriving on the island, while the Progreso terminal handled 100% of the passengers and ships arriving at the port. Looking ahead to 2025, SSA Marine México aims to maintain its momentum, projecting over 2 million cruise passengers across its two terminals in the Gulf-Caribbean region.
