Planting Life and Future in Manzanillo

On August 3, we joined the “Planting for you” project, organized by the Environmentalists of La Central group at the Brecha Peña Blanca in La Central community, Manzanillo. This reforestation day aimed to restore affected natural areas, promote environmental awareness, and strengthen social bonds through community participation. More than 200 trees were strategically planted to protect the soil, attract pollinators, and enrich the experience for visitors to Cerro del Toro and Peña Blanca. Our participation, through the Social Responsibility Committee and the environmental area of our Manzanillo terminals, included the delivery of support materials that will contribute to the project’s sustainability. This effort was enhanced by the collaboration of local authorities, volunteers, and allies such as the Scouts Manzanillo group, with whom we share a commitment to protecting the environment. Each tree planted represents a step toward a greener future, reminding us that when we join forces, we can transform and safeguard our environment for generations to come.
