SSA Marine Mexico Recognizes 2026 Academic Achievement Award Recipients Among Employees’ Children

On August 14, students who are children of SSA Marine Mexico employees were recognized at the company’s Mexico City headquarters by CEO Manuel Fernández Pérez for their effort, dedication, and academic performance during the previous school year. At the same time, award ceremonies were held between August 10 and 15 in the port communities of Manzanillo, Lázaro Cárdenas, Tuxpan, Veracruz, and Cozumel, where SSA Marine Mexico also operates. In this fourth edition of the SSA Marine Mexico Academic Achievement Support Program, 65 students participated, reflecting the interest and commitment of employees’ children to continue strengthening their academic education. The selection committee, led by Manuel Fernández, recognized 26 students nationwide for their outstanding academic performance, including 18 young women (69%) and eight young men (31%). “SSA Marine Mexico thanks all participating students and also recognizes the fundamental role their parents have played in their success by providing support and guidance throughout their academic journey. We are also very proud of all the students recognized across SSA Marine Mexico’s eight terminals, located in the five ports where we operate,” said Manuel Fernández. SSA Marine Mexico seeks to continue supporting young people during important stages of their educational and professional development. The company hopes to welcome them in the future to its port terminals for internships and trainee programs and, perhaps, in the not-too-distant future, to integrate them as part of the next generation of employees who will help continue leading the delivery of port services in Mexico.
